Change is inevitable…
I love doing Good Morning Idyllwild, but I’m a bit worried about running out of interesting things to write about since I have to come up with 2 wonderful ideas a week. So I’ve decided to try something new and I HOPE you, my loyal readers, will not mind getting Good Morning Idyllwild just once a week instead of twice.
Starting with this issue, I will be putting out Good Morning Idyllwild on Friday morning and it will have information for the entire upcoming week. It will be hard to get last minute things in, but overall, I think it will still serve to remind everyone who subscribes of ALL the wonderful things we have going on here in town. Of course the weather will always be in flux, but what’s new?
By the way, I started GMI April 1st, 2023 with 13 readers (friends and family) and just by word of mouth, Good Morning Idyllwild now has 900 readers. WOW! Thank you for your participation & support in my “retirement hobby” of keeping you informed. I really appreciate all the great feedback I get. I think this will be a good change for all of us. I hope you do too.

Lady Beatle Update…
Remember how I told you that Lady Beatles (Lady Bugs) hibernate up here in clusters (Dec. 15th GMI)? Well just last week one of my friends who Mountain bikes told me about finding a big cluster of them along the trail and I asked if she had taken a photo. Sure enough….here they are along our trails. Keep your eyes peeled. Zoom in if you can and see the clusters above and to the right of the log as well. Stay cozy little Lady Beatles!
Fun fact: a group of Lady Beatles is called a “loveliness of lady beatles”.

Stitch is looking for his forever home! This very sweet guy is approximately 9 – 10 weeks old, very friendly and playful, and really likes other dogs. His housetraining is progressing nicely. His foster says he is very smart!

Thank you to Shane & Ashley Stewart for donating the land for these bathrooms and to Stephanie Yost with ICC for her persistence with the County of Riverside to FINALLY get us public bathrooms. Thank you to the County of Riverside and Supervisor Manuel Perez for making this happen. It’s been a LONG time coming! Bathrooms will be locked at night. I’m not sure what time yet.
